GUGULESIZWE CAMP

In season, passing humpback whales can be spotted from Gugulesizwe’s strategic location, just 2km inland. Quite different in feel to the sultry seaside forest, ‘Gugs’ (as this camp is affectionately known) is noted for the beauty of the early morning and late afternoon light shining on the surrounding sea of grass.

When the ocean calls, a short run brings you to endless beaches, rockpools and all the wildlife-spotting possibilities that Maputaland offers.

Comfortable canvas rooms are raised on concrete plinths and connected to each other and the main area by sandy paths, and are equipped with bedding and shower towels (but not beach towels), and 220V power points and USB charging points.
